Thermodynamic properties of saturated and superheated R22 (Moran tables). R22 is the refrigerant which replaced R12 as a result of environmental considerations.
Ammonia Refrigerant Tables Moran
Thermodynamic properties of saturated and superheated ammonia (Moran tables). Ammonia was first-used as a refrigerant in the early development of the vapor-compression refrigeration cycle. It is now used for very large scale refrigeration installations, but it is a lethal inhalation hazard if leaks occur.
Vapor Compression Refrigeration Demo
This file illustrates how to analyze an ideal vapor compression refrigeration cycle using refrigerant R134a. The compressor is modeled as reversible and adiabatic (isentropic). The user enters the condenser and the evaporator pressures. All other properties are fully defined by the definition of the ideal cycle itself. The analysis culminates in the determination of the refrigeration coefficient of performance.
The user must use Save As… when utilizing the thermodynamic property data in conjunction with the automated property interpolation scheme implemented in Excel.
R134a Refrigerant Tables Moran
This file tabulates the thermodynamic properties of refrigerant 134a in both SI and English units. The source of the data tables is Moran’s Engineering Thermodynamics textbook.
Saturated liquid, saturated vapor, and superheated vapor thermodynamic properties are tabulated.
R134a Refrigerant Tables NIST
This file tabulates the thermodynamic properties of refrigerant 134a in SI units. The source of the data tables is the University of Ohio, with their source of NIST Chemistry Web Book.
Saturated liquid, saturated vapor, and superheated vapor thermodynamic properties are tabulated.
Thermodynamic Properties of Carbon Dioxide
An emerging concept for a safe refrigerant working fluid is to use carbon dioxide (CO2). This Excel file contains tabular data for saturated liquid, saturated vapor, and superheated vapor carbon dioxide. Source of data is Ohio University, which ultimately used the NIST Chemistry Web Book as its source.
